I have an understanding of the R&R entries in the ledgers but am uncomfortable in believing there will be an entry for every and each return to Winchester for your fix. While this may well are actually the rule, there definitely might be exceptions, after all, Now we have Each individual identified things which weren’t speculated to be existing in dwelling color.

At what stage was the “Circle VP” for “Seen Proved” stamp placed on the underside on the barrel–subsequent the weighty load screening, the “VP” currently being utilized after the Visible inspection of your barrel? The “VP” is located on each individual 1892 and 1894 barrel I've observed from the beginning to the top of production, bridging the date for the looks with the “WP”. Then why the addition of the “WP”—I acknowledge I'm no Winchester shop history buff, just curious regarding the reasoning for your “WP”.
